Thoroughly understand the visa regulations and work authorization requirements for your specific student visa type (F-1 or J-1). Consult with your university’s international student office to ensure you meet all legal requirements for internships, such as Optional Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) for F-1 visa holders.

2) Leverage University Resources and Networking

Take full advantage of your university’s career services, including workshops, career fairs, and internship databases. These resources can provide invaluable guidance on finding opportunities, preparing applications, and connecting with potential employers.
